Saturday, June 29th, 2019 -  Day Two :

Glastonbury Tor and St. Michael's Tower

As the Chalice Well symbolizes the female, so does the Glastonbury Tor embody the male, rising above the Summerland Meadows that lie around it, and crowned with St. Michael's tower, and sitting on the St. Michaels ley line. Again power calls to power in this place, where the male and female meet over a place of power.

Both ancient religion and Christianity have put their mark on this site. The hill, known as Ynys Wydryn or Gutrin “Isle of Glass” in Celtic and as Ynys yr Afalon “Isle of Avalon” by the Britons is inexplicably terraced 7 times on its northern face by an unknown method and for unknown reason.

The Chalice Well at the Tor's base actually hardens the stone of the Tor itself with the iron that tints the water red, and other geological and geographical conditions cause phenomena such as the Fata Morgana, an illusion by which the Tor appears to float in the sky.

There have been archaeological finds that date back to the iron age, and a sprinkling of every age since, including Roman artifacts. In the Middle Ages, there were wooden monasteries and chapels built here, and the Church of St. Michael rebuilt in stone after those buildings burned, of which only the tower remains.

The power that lies in this place has called to those sensitive to it throughout the ages, and the Tor remains a site of sacred pilgrimage in the modern world, linked to the Fae, and an important site for druid, pagan, and those who follow the Goddess. It is said in legend that it holds the key to Briton's spiritual integrity.

This is a place to find peace, to balance energies between the male and female aspects, a place for priest and priestess to meet, where their energies bind and strengthen together.

Sunday, June 30th, 2019 -  Day Three :

Chalice Well and Peace Gardens, White Well

On Day 3 of the Higher Heart of Avalon, Michelle Orwick brings elemental awareness to the table as the travelers engage in a deeper exploration of the mysteries of the Chalice Well in Glastonbury. Exploration of the Chalice Well and the White Well in the Peace Gardens here are made particularly significant by several teaching sessions as the day passes. The peculiar geological and energetic conditions that make Glastonbury physically special are symptomatic of the spiritual power that resides here, and careful study of the Well, especially in the light of the Water connection, the presence of the divine feminine (The Well) and masculine (The Tor), and the power of the Earth at this place, make for rewarding discoveries and explorations. Also, healing, mineral-rich waters from both Wells are piped to special fountains for use of visitors to the Peace Gardens.

The convergence of physical and spiritual in this extraordinary place gives an opportunity to stretch one's senses beyond the usual, to listen, feel, and see in a way that is not normally so apparent, and to tap into the mystical potential that resides within each traveler. The guides that accompany us on this trip are uniquely suited to the exploration of different aspects and viewpoints of the energies that converge in this place, and on this third day of the trip, will be helping everyone seek success in the aspects that most appeal to them. In addition, astrologically, it is a Dark Moon, so it is a perfect time to work on the shadow side of letting go, to clear things in preparation for what is to come. Meditation and Reflection time are built into the day so that everyone has the time to both contemplate and to prepare for the Earth connections at Stonehenge the next day.

Monday, July 1st, 2019 -  Day Four :

Stone Henge/Crop Circles -Ritual inside Stonehenge/Special hands-on tour.

Stonehenge has long been a destination for seekers of mysteries and spiritual enlightenment. So much so that the English Heritage/National Trust has cordoned it off from the hands and foot traffic of the enormous flow of tourists that pass through this place each day.

Except for those who make special arrangements. So, the guides of the Higher Heart tour have made special arrangements for the travelers to meet Stonehenge at sunrise, on the day before an eclipse, to engage in ritual and ceremony, within the area that is normally off-limits to visitors.

Stonehenge is part of a larger stone-age complex that is aligned with the heavenly bodies and built for the purpose of ritual and ceremony for the people of that time. It certainly vibrates with a different energy and purpose than what we experience in other places. It is a portal for ancient mysticism, and at sunrise, when the sun and moon are both visible, it is a time for the balance of masculine and feminine. On this day, as the sun and moon are about to converge, is a particularly significant time to experience this once-in-a-lifetime arrangement of the heavens and the earth. It is magical, mystical England at its very finest, and most ancient presentation. Michelle Orwick and her companion guides help step the travelers through their personal journeys of growth in the special environment of a naked Stonehenge, with no barriers to contact.

The day continues within the stone age sacred complex, as the companions visit West Kennet Longbarrow and a crop circle.

Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019 -  Day Five:

Glastonbury Abbey Ruins

As power calls to power, so to did the Christian Church answer the call at Glastonbury.  Second to only Westminster Abbey in medieval wealth and influence, Glastonbury Abbey shone in its grandeur.  Its documentable Christian roots date back to the 7th century, it was enlarged in the 10th century and remained Benedictine since that time.  It was rebuilt after burning in the 14th centuries.

Glastonbury legend states that Joseph of Arimathea, holder of the Grail, founded the church there in the 1st century.  It's been proven that the site was occupied during Roman and Saxon period via archaeological finds there, and in the Dark Ages through the presence of wine jars that were shipped from the Mediterranean during that time.

The graves of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere were found here in the 12th century, housed in a massive hollow oak tree trunk, marked with the inscription Hic jacet sepultus inclitus rex Arthurus in insula Avalonian “Here lies interred King Arthur on the isle of Avalon”.  At that time their grave sites were moved to the high altar of the Abbey.  Arthur and Guinevere are important to the history of England as they are the place where the magical, mystical, and the religious forces meet and are part of the mythological source of the British people

.

Glastonbury Abbey was a place of splendor in the 15th century when the George Hotel and Pilgrim's Inn was built to house visitors.  The Abbots Kitchen is still intact, and I one of the best preserved medieval kitchens in Europe.

Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019 -  Day Six :

City of Wells / Wells Cathedral / King Arthurs Court

Day 6 brings us to the City of Wells, in Somerset, southwestern England. It is named for 3 wells, dedicated to St. Andrew, and located in the market, and in the Bishop's palace in the cathedral complex.

Wells has been occupied since Roman times but has served as a center of commerce for much of the intervening time, especially in the textiles trade. It has been a market center since the middle ages.

Upon arrival in Wells, the city market should be in full swing, which the tour will be able to freely enjoy.

In the afternoon, we will be taking in the massive and beautiful Cathedral complex. The Wells Cathedral and Bishops Palace were built in the 13th centuries. Cathedrals are massive complexes of sacred and secular buildings, for people to both live and see to pious life. Wells Cathedral is no exception, and this beautiful gothic Cathedral is one of the best examples in all of England. There is plenty of art, architecture, and sacred spaces for meditation and contemplation available to choose from.

Before dinner, we'll return to the Glastonbury for Chalice Well mediation time, and after dinner, we'll be secreted off to King Arthurs Court, a secluded waterfall garden within the Chalice Well Gardens.

Thursday, July 4th, 2019 -  Day Seven :

Higher Heart of Avalon

Michelle Orwick invites each traveler to explore each of the elements in the embrace of the Peace Gardens of the Chalice Well one last time. Day 7 begins with Morning Meditations and then Quiet Time in the Peace Gardens. After breakfast the Well and Gardens are yours as everyone is free for the day to commune with the essence of this magical place.

After dinner, there is a gathering to thank the Well for its gifts. All four guides will be present to guide the travelers in a special ritual to connect to the Well, to make it a movable feast for each person, so that its grace and power can be taken with each person throughout their journeys. This celebration, connection, and closure is an important part of this trip, as the deeper understanding of the significance of this time and place, the alignments and forces at play in the most magical and sacred places in England make themselves felt.

Friday, July 5th, 2019 -  Day Eight :

Farewell to Chalice Well

Gather for a silent morning mediation at the Chalice Well. We will return to the retreat house where a beautiful farewell breakfast awaits you. We will then say our goodbyes and head to the airport for departure.

Alfredo Joseph Rosado
Speaker, Writer and Teacher, Founder, Milagro World Center, Social and Culinary Entrepreneur, Former Resident Guardian, The Chalice Well and Peace Gardens

Joseph stepped on to his spiritual path in the early 1990's  with an intensive study of comparative mythology and the life, writings and teaching of Joseph Campbell. Thus began Joseph Rosado's passionate intellectual and spiritual journey.

In 1996, Joseph and his partner were selected from more than 250 applicants as the first and only U.S. guardians of Chalice Well and Peace Gardens in Glastonbury, Somerset, England.  The Chalice Well which is nestled between the Vale of Avalon, the famous Glastonbury Tor and Chalice Hill is truly one of Britain's most holy sites. More than 50,000 "pilgrims" visit the well and gardens each year.

As guardian of the well and gardens, Joseph greeted the many pilgrims who entered the gates as part of their personal spiritual journey. His role as guardian was much greater than just gatekeeper though. Joseph was historian and story teller of the enchantment of the well, the gardens and the retreat house. He also managed the operational and financial aspects of the entire site which offered accommodations for 15 as well as book and gift shop. During Joseph's three year tenure, many significant changes and additions were made. The financial gains realized from these changes and endowments allowed the Chalice Well Trust to become financially self-sustaining. When Joseph's work was complete at this holy site in 1999 it was clearly evident that his future path was to focus on sacred travel throughout the world and to be a guide for others on their spiritual path.

Currently residing in the rain and cloud forests of Panama, Central America, Joseph is also a social and culinary entrepreneur. He has owned and managed a variety of businesses including a retail music storefront in New York City, a holistic center in Florida, sustainably minded organic eateries in Florida and New Mexico and a sacred travel company.

Currently Joseph is a Founder and Director of the Milagro World Center. The Milagro (Miracle) World Center offers education, events and retreats - and brings conscious community together in highly interactive weekly teleconferences. This community of visionary leaders are seeding a new project, Keepers of the Turn, as a global conversation and shared cultural practice for all of humanity.
